Our Classic Climbing Course in La Mussara is designed for climbers with experience on sport routes who want to master advanced techniques, place traditional protection, build anchors, and navigate multi-pitch routes with autonomy.
Trad climbing requires not only strength and technique but also planning, rock reading, and the ability to make safe decisions at height. At Southclimb, we teach these skills in a practical, safe, and structured way, combining theory and hands-on practice in the stunning setting of La Mussara, Tarragona.
During the course, participants will practice the essential skills to climb multi-pitch routes safely:

The course takes place in La Mussara, a premier climbing area in Tarragona for traditional routes and multi-pitch climbs. We offer group courses on scheduled dates, perfect for sharing experience and learning with other climbers, as well as private courses, tailored to your level, goals, and pace.
The main goal is to develop technical skills and autonomy in traditional climbing. You will learn to read the rock, place protection safely, build stable anchors, and manage ropes on multi-pitch routes. This will allow you to climb more safely and fully enjoy the classic climbing experience.
With Southclimb, you will learn from certified guides with extensive trad climbing experience. Our approach combines technical rigor, hands-on practice, and fun, ensuring that each participant gains confidence and enjoys the learning process.
