Trad climbing requires not only strength and technique but also planning, rock reading, and the ability to make safe decisions at height. The course takes place in La Mussara, a premier climbing area in Tarragona for traditional routes and multi-pitch climbs. We offer group courses on scheduled dates, perfect for sharing experience and learning with other climbers, as well as private courses, tailored to your level, goals, and pace.
The main goal is to develop technical skills and autonomy in traditional climbing. You will learn to read the rock, place protection safely, build stable anchors, and manage ropes on multi-pitch routes. This will allow you to climb more safely and fully enjoy the classic climbing experience.

I organised a 4hr climbing session in Siurana for 10 children (mostly aged 8-9) and Santi was super easy to communicate with and organise everything remotely. He arranged 2 guides, all the equipment, safe briefing and everything you would need for a half day of fun climbing. The kids really enjoyed themselves and learnt so much along the way. Some were beginners, others had climbed before and the guides were very helpful and supportive. I highly recommend Southclimb and we can’t wait to go climbing with them again.

The most beautiful setting with endless awe inspiring walls and valleys. We’re new to outdoor climbing and our instructor couldn’t have been better. Interesting, enthusiastic, patient and inspiring we felt like we were climbing with a friend who taught us so much and tailored our weekend amazingly to our ability. We felt challenged without feeling completely out of our comfort zone. So fun!
